Friends are like stars...

… just because you can’t see them, it doesn’t mean they are not there.

And, as we close down for a couple of weeks after an exceptionally busy summer, I would like to pay tribute to all the wonderful new friends, young and old, I have made during their holidays here.

My humans have been telling me about all the lovely messages written in the visitors’ books and in emails to say how much people have enjoyed meeting me, playing with me and even going so far as to say I am the best dog in the world!

My tail is wagging with delight and I am already looking forward to seeing lots of you again next year.

I have to admit it’s rather quiet here now and I do miss all the fuss and attention and the comings and goings but, while my owners have a well-deserved rest, I can lie in the sunshine and remember our happy times together.

I am taking a bit of a break myself for the rest of the month but will be back on-line next month and looking forward to sharing my doggy-eyed view of the world.
