About Mel Penrose

Mel Penrose is the pseudonym of cosy fiction writers Mike Truscott and Francesca Hanikova. They met in 1982 when Francesca joined the Falmouth Packet newspaper in Cornwall as a trainee journalist and Mike was her supervising chief reporter. After several years in newspaper journalism, both went on to successful careers in public relations but continued to write - and stayed in touch. Meeting up to enjoy another shared passion - walking the Cornish coast path - Francesca persuaded Mike to dust off an unfinished draft for a millionaire romance story, Lottery Loveboat was completed and accepted by Whisper Publishing - and Mel Penrose was born.
